Yo, did you know that if you’re unemployed or make below a certain amount of money Planned Parenthood will give you a year’s supply of birth control for free? And they’ll give you most treatments and exams for free? And they’ll hook you up with condoms and planned B for free?

If a recent federal court ruling stands, any young woman will be able to walk into her neighborhood drugstore, find the morning-after pill near the shelves stocked with condoms and KY Jelly and buy it — no questions asked.
That would be a surprising change: At the moment, girls 16 and younger must have a prescription to buy the morning-after pill, which helps prevent pregnancy after sexual intercourse. As a result, even though it is nonprescription for everyone else, even an older woman can buy it only at the pharmacy window, and she must show a valid ID and proof of age.

Move over “war on women,” the GOP’s “war on sex” is here to invade your bedroom and reproductive system.
While some of the measures below may resemble salvos fired during the “war on women” — and others are actually carbon copies — it’s 2013, and with a new year comes new ways for Republicans to get in between your sheets, regardless of your gender or sexual orientation.
- Defunding Planned Parenthood
- Restricting Abortion Access
- Implementing New Restrictions For Abortion Clinics, Doctors
- Punishing Rape Victims Who Seek Abortions
- Cutting Sex Education Funding
- Pushing Abstinence-Only Education
- Curbing Affordable Contraception
- Reinstating Anti-Sodomy Laws
- Voting To Keep Gay Sex Illegal
- Keeping Gay Teens Scared Of Jail Time
- Canceling ‘Sex Week’
